Anybody Notice How Obama NEVER Takes Questions From The Audience?
Edwards ALWAYS has Taken unfiltered questions from the audience. :eyes:

Obama seems more a motivational speaker than critical decision maker or a fighter. :eyes:

Lots of Rah Rah about good things that no one would EVER argue with... conceptually while reality would quickly overwhelm "the concept.":)

15. Sorry. Pat yourself on the back all you want. You are full of shit.
I watched him do two speeches followed by q&a a couple of days ago. If you want to claim he doesn't do it enough to your liking (I am sure you would like him a LOT if he did, right?) but he does it.

Sorry he is spanking your candidate in the primaries right now. He spanked mine too, but at least I am trying not to be a baby about it.

Obama Faces Tough Questions in New Hampshire

DURHAM, N.H. – Sen. Barack Obama hosted his first town hall meeting in New Hampshire Monday as a presidential candidate, fielding almost a dozen questions – but not one about the Iraq war.

The absence of any substantial focus on Iraq stood in contrast to Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s weekend visit to the state, when voters repeatedly asked her to explain – or apologize for – her 2002 vote authorizing the U.S. invasion.

A different set of concerns emerged from the crowd of more than 2,500 people: What makes you qualified for the job after only two years in the U.S. Senate? And give specifics, not generalities, about what you will do if you get to the White House.

If Iraq is Clinton’s Achilles heel, skepticism about Obama’s electability might be his question mark with primary election voters.

Among the skeptical was Sally Struble, a 43-year-old Portsmouth lawyer who said she wanted to figure out why her politically active friends were “so gaga over someone who has not actively stated what he believed in other than hope.”

“I want to hear if he has anything solid to say,” said Struble, who says she is undecided. “What is he going to do to change our lives?”

Obama laid out his vision in broad strokes, offering more detailed responses when pressed by the audience about how he would increase energy independence, rebuild New Orleans and deal with Iran.

He said he saw parallels between the Bush administration’s recent claims that Iran has been arming Shiite militants in Iraq and the rhetoric leading up to the Iraq war. Obama said he opposed the war from the start (he was then an Illinois state senator) because the evidence looked flimsy.<snip>

10. What IS Missing From Obama Is The Concept of ..."HOW"
NEVER a WORD about "HOW"... This guy IS utterly BEREFT OF DETAIL... :eyes:

It IS as if "HOW" simply DOES NOT Matter!

It is easy to BULLS*IT... even flamboyantly so... However, it is a much different matter to draw the frame from SUPERFLUOUSNESS to a much more difficult to

achieve ... reality.

Obama when speaking does not even know his own policy positions... :eyes: "Health care for ALL" When his plan ONLY covers children?

Obama WILL say ANYTHING to WIN... and the SAD thing is ... the legions of uninformed voters... BELIEVE IT?

Yeesh... Hope we get to some thinkers pretty soon.

McCain vs Obama? Blowout? But most likely not the kind we're looking for.

18. The media is only showing the rallies.
He has Meet the Candidate events where he answers questions from voters.

I do wish C-Span would cover one of these instead of the rallies all the time.

25. Oy stuff like this makes Edwards supporters look bad
And I say that as an Edwards supporter. Obama obviously does take questions. And you can't just change your tune from he doesn't take questions to I don't like his answers in the middle of the thread. That doesn't make any sense.

I would think at the very least Obama and Edwards people should stay civil between each other. I don't Obama even though he seems to be taking a lot of heat from this board lately. At this point I really am sick and tired of the constant sniping and bickering that goes on. I can attack Hillary sometimes, although I've been trying to do that less even though I strongly dislike her. But really this shit has to stop.

That's why more and more people are beginning to view his campaign like a cult of personality.

It sure seems to have a lot of the same characteristics, doesn't it?

33. That Is in Fact THE POINT... Edwards HAS SUBstance Placing Him at a Distinct Advantage
over the long haul. And The Long Haul Means NOVEMBER FOLKS. If we nominate Obama now and He IS NOT Tested, we will have no recourse. He is not a competent responder to questions... Has difficulty answering in time alloted and often does not have command of his own positions. Lets give this a little time before we give Obama the REd Carpet... Hmmm? :)

34. that's because he doesn't want anyone asking unvetted questions
like about a lobbyist working for his campaign

like about all the pac money he takes

like about all the big business interests he takes money from

oh no, he doesn't want those questions asked. not while the media is around to report his answers (if he can answer them).
