Randi Rhodes show -All Obama All Hillary -- no mention of Edwards hour 1

She has mentioned Joe Biden, Chris Dodd, Dennis Kucinich and Bill Richardson, more than John Edwards, which is really weird. For the last hour and forty minutes it has been all Obama and Clinton. I think she has mentioned the repubs running than Edwards.

Now, she is saying that Obama had very little press before the primaries. Huh!

dropped out. I had it on in the car. All I heard for 20 minutes was Hillary, Hillary, Hillary, poor Hillary.

Went in to the store, came out, all I heard for the next 20 mins was Biden, Dodd, Richardson, Kucinich, Obama, Hillary and ALL the Republicans. Edwards' name was never mentioned. Ever. I changed the station because I THOUGHT I was listening to Air America. I was. She claimed there was no media coverage on Clinton and Obama, because they ReFUSEd to be interviewed, by anybody. Say what??

I finally turned it off. I have no idea who this was or what her problem was, but I'm pretty disgusted with everything right now, and now I can't even listen to the freakin radio :-)

I think thats pushing it a little. Shes echoing the MSM a bit much.

Did you guys hear him? Wow, now that is a journalist/whatever. He interviewed anyone who came by repub or dem. And, if the dem didn't mention Edwards in the same couple of sentences as Clinton and Obama, he reminded them that Edwards is running and came in second in Iowa.

She was so pro-Obama yesterday, I thought she had a crush on him.

Elizabeth Edwards was videoed telling a group of N.H. voters that you can tell how the candidates will perform as president by what they did when Bhutto was assassinated. She pointed out that Edwards took action: he called Musharraf (whom he had met some years ago).

So today, Obama announces -- not wanting anyone to thing Edwards would make a better president -- that he called the head of the opposition party in Kenya. Now that may have been a sincere gesture, but it wasn't very original. Yet Obama's call is in the news.

The silence about Edwards is deafening -- and exasperating.

If Hillary is the candidate after they have ignored Edwards and foisted Obama on us in these early primaries, I may not vote at all. I may just decide that the whole "election" is a sham. If the corporatists can't steal it from the people one way, they steal it another.

I think that the secret weapon against Obama is his church. I'm OK with it, but I think a lot of ordinary Americans will not understand why that church is so pro-African nationalist, why it makes so much over W.E.B. DuBois who became a Communist at the age of 93 and died in self-imposed exile in Ghana. Now if you are an intellectual, you may see these events as simply historical facts. But most Americans are going to ask what W.E.B. DuBois has to do with a United Church of Christ. It's really going to puzzle a lot of people. And it will allow people to justify their racism. Obama is going to have to deal with this. You don't need to flame me about it. I'm not the problem. How average, ordinary voters are going to understand the W.E.B. DuBois and African nationalism of the church that Obama chose to belong to will be the problem.

Obama is being allowed to prevail in these early primaries, but he is kind of a set up in my opinion. Obama draws voters away from Edwards. That is the goal. The press is setting up a choice between Obama and Hillary hoping that Edwards will become discouraged and drop out. Then they will give the coup de grace to Obama and Hillary wins. That is their strategy.

Edwards needs to stay in there. Otherwise we will be left with only Obama.

I have yet to hear more than a token mention of Edwards on AA, NPR or PBS..even after Iowa when he came in SECOND..geebus

And it just sickens me to hear Corporate Media spin parroted on progressive radio stations.

This tacit agreement among the so-called media to ignore John Edwards is just as sickening to me as the Pelosi/Reid roll-over. They can't ALL be drinking the damn kool-aid can they?


and I tell you one thing.. this John Edwards 'black-out' in the "media" was all I needed to lift me off the fence- I am an Edwards gal all the way now.

Thom supports Edwards, and when interviewing other candidates reps, says he supports Edwards so there is no hidden agenda to be questioned.
