HEADS UP ATLANTA and N.Georgia! Massive Thunderstorm moving in!
This is crazy! :crazy:This storm is bigger than most Spring and Summer storms, and it's a fast mover too!

I'm shutting down if it gets bad.:scared:

2. Take cover if you need to.
Last night we had nasty tornadoes all over the Midwest. Property can be replaced, but not people.

3. Wow! I'm looking at the radar.
I'm in bed surfing on my iPhone.

Hope the storms don't wake us up.

7. On an iPhone? How long does it take for DU to load on an iPhone?
I bet you hate seeing the words "Caption this HILARIOUS Bush photo" when surfing with an iPhone, huh?

14. About a second or two on WiFi. About five seconds off WiFi.
Pretty fast.

4. Turn off your computer during all major
thunderstorms. It could ruin your computer. My sister in NC and we have had it happen.

Keep your head down.

5. We turn them off and unplug everything of value
In this rural place, the computer and modem are vital. They get disengaged from everything that can carry juice.

8. Only if your connection is wireless.
Some of the worst lightning surges come though phone-lines and coaxial cable (cable T.V. cables).

11. Unfortunately, this one's moving so fast that it will mostly bring down tree limbs...
...and cause problems. What we need is one of those Tropical Depressions to come out of the Gulf and stall over the Atlanta Metro area, like it did in July 1994, or was that 1995? It was one of those years, fixed that drought and then some.
