8. I've Had Nights Like That
So sleep in the daytime--preferably in a spot of sunlight, like the cats do.

3. Like most, I'm sure he as some likable qualities.
It's his unenlightened ideology, destructive and disastrous policies, derisive humor, arrogance, and bellicosity that are all so completely reprehensible.

The veneer of his affable side is why so many allegedly wanted to have a near beer with him.

I've gone on and on for a long time about how hatred of * may just be what has kept him in power.

I heard last week on this show,

http://www.kpfa.org/archives/index.php?arch=24113

an interesting interpretation for the rather oblique King James' version of "Love thine enemies."

Since Arabic languages are far more multi leveled than the Greek, Latin, and English ones, for decades I've been intrigued by the scholars who are fluent in Hebrew and Aramaic who translate the verses directly into English.

One I had not heard until last week was translated by Neal Douglas-Klotz. He was a guest on the visionary activist show (on kpfa) this week. The shows are always archived to listen to at any time.

The host described this interpretation as "a vast instruction manual of great mystery."

"Love thine enemies" = "Love your enemies. From a hidden place, unite with your enemies from the inside. Fill the inner void. That makes them swell outwardly and fall out of rhythm, instead of progressing step by step. They stop and start harshly out of time. Bring yourself back into rhythm within. Find the moment that meets with theirs', like two lovers creating life from the dust. Do this work in secret. This kind of love creates. It does not emote."

Sounds as though you did that masterfully in your dream.

This approach is reinforced in Jungian psychology as owning one's shadow and here as well.

There are scarcely few examples of ethical or reverent use of power in our recorded history.

We have to ask ourselves, what imbalances within each and everyone of us created this sort of "misleadership."

Now go take a shower and have a much better day.

6. you know, that's how it was in the dream... he came across as a regular joe..
very down to earth, almost affable or aloof. Very simple and candid, even.

As far as hatred goes, I hate no one. Hatred is a product that destroys the vessel in which it is contained. Hatred eats the soul and devours the spirit.

I'm sure he *does* have some likable qualities, but his policies sure do suck, don't they?

7. Yup
". . .but his policies sure do suck, don't they?"

Truly.

He is a simpleton for sure. Upon reading your response, I was reminded of two things.

Firstly, that very same translator who offered up that lovely complex interpretation of that oblique saying also says the Aramaic root of the word "evil" is "unripe."

So what is unripe? It is that which requires more sunlight (i.e. consciousness.) He's just hopelessly unconscious with all his "evil doers" and "axis of evil" bologna based projections, and pathetic bellicosity and infernal grand standing.

I pity him for that and the karma he's creating for himself.

People talk a lot about trying him at the ICC at the Hague. Still, the US is oddly beyond the reach of the ICC.

Stack the domestic courts, be beyond the reach of the ICC = a roll back of the rule of law to pre Magna Carta standards.

Forget a pre 9/11 mentality.

In my obtuse reality, I'd like him to go hang out with some Buddhists. He's just forgotten so much.

That's not to minimize all the suffering he's idiotically and perhaps unwittingly wrought.

Secondly, upon reading your response, the imaginary IPod in my cranium immediately shuffled to this song. . .

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Da9sc6YDBo

:hi: rightbackatchya

and do lay off the xanex (or however the heck you spell the name of that crap) okay. . .?

Glad you got what I posted.

Peace over time.

9. It sounds as if some sort of religious fanatic reverse reality technique
working on your subconscious. Jehovah Witnesses use this technique quit a bit as some sort of hypnotic implant that causes one to seek out some sort of religious fatherly figures, but I’m sure that isn’t the case, unless you have some JW friends or something, other than that its hard to say.

I would suggest you drink a six pack and stay away from religious people for a while.

11. That's very strange because I *did* get a visit from some jehovah's witnesses
not long after waking up. I tried to convert them to atheism. They want to come back and visit later this week...

13. That’s some strange stuff there ghost
Instead of dreaming of JW you were dreaming of GW, and then the JW’s showed up. I don’t know if that’s a strange coincidence or just f-ing luck. You should count your blessings and be thankful that your dream wasn’t about Dick Cheney.

In the mean time I’ll have a few more beers and think good thoughts for ya…

back to ya :hi:
