1. In New Hampshire all ballots are paper ballots.
In much of the state they are counted on optiscan machines.

2. I saw paper ballots being inserted in to scanners on the news.
I'm assuming there is a trail in this case. At least in some, if not all areas.

3. The ballots are voter-marked paper ballots, and are easy to recount
New Hampshire does Not use DREs. There's a hand-marked paper ballot from every voter except blind voters who I believe had to option of using a phone option that creates a paper ballot from their selections..

4. Have you ever used an optical ballot?
Theres little circles you fill in with a pencil that the scanner reads.

Those circles show exactly who the vote was supposed to be for.

5. I heard several times that some districts used Diebold machines, and that
was the reason for not trusting the result. I had understood that
one problem with Diebold was lack of paper trail.
guess I am behind.

7. NH uses
Only opti-scan machines. Some are made by Diebold. We do not have any touch screen machines.

NH law calls for paper ballots to be used in all elections.
