Charming! Folksy! Guitar Hero Reverend Huckabee compares abortion to slavery
The former Southern Baptist minister emphasized his opposition to abortion as he urged about 100 pastors in Grand Rapids to support him and use their address books and e-mail lists to mobilize others.

"I don't presume that you will support me because of a common faith," Huckabee told them. "I know that I have to earn that. But I also recognize this is a unique opportunity. For a long time, those of us who are people of faith have been asked to support a candidate who would talk to us. But rarely has there been one who comes from us."

He added, "Life is in the balance."

Comparing abortion to slavery, Huckabee also said that overturning the Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion would merely allow states to decide whether to value one life or another and called for a constitutional amendment banning the practice. He also played up his opposition to gay marriage, saying that traditional marriage helps "train our replacements.":wtf:

2. Breaking: MRI of Huckabee's brain discovered

Huckabee also said that overturning the Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion would merely allow states to decide whether to value one life or another

And the debate over "granting" rights to LGBTs doesn't do that?

Comparing abortion to slavery

His position that women should be subjugated to men isn't akin to slavery?

He also played up his opposition to gay marriage, saying that traditional marriage helps "train our replacements."

Duh. The only purpose of marriage is to spawn like brood-sows and train the resultant litters. And Teh Gays can't procreate so they don't deserve to marry. :sarcasm: :sarcasm:

Huckabee is completely whackadoodle.

5. It's significant that Huck plays the bass, not the guitar.
Bass is much easier to play acceptably in a band than guitar. (I know, I've done it.) There are only four strings instead of six, the strings are bigger, and you hardly ever play more than one string at a time. You can get by playing the root note of each chord.

Haven't you noticed that the person with more desire to be in the band (or more money) than talent often gets put on bass? It's perfect for a person who wants to look more impressive than he is.

BTW, I am not putting down genuinely great bass players, of which there are many! The Huckster just isn't one of them.

8. I can't believe they're trotting out the "fetuses = slaves" meme again.
That was beyond stupid in 1994 and it's beyond...beyond now.

9. He's a genuinely dangerous man
Especially so in the guise of his "aw, gosh" folksy manner of his. For some reason, he seems to come off as likable.

With his dangerous, bigoted views, God help us if he's elected in November.
