NBC uses our airways, yet people calling them right now are being hung up on....
... people are calling to ask them to have Kucinich on the debate tonight, but their switchboard has apparently been asked to hang up on people who think it's monstrous that NBC is eliminating candidates on its own by keeping Kucinich out of the debate. Please e-mail them and tell them you protest their hanging up on people who own the airways they are BORROWING. And we really need to bring this up to Congress, tho the Congress is pretty useless, and spends its time kissing corporate ass.

Here's the only e-mail I could find for NBC:

them that I am no longer using their products until they cease to advertise on NBC.

14. The company is NBC Universal, and they are there own publicly traded company aside from GE.
I think this is a smarter move.

17. It's very easy as far as I see it. Boycotting sponsors is as simple as it gets
Companies don't like it too much when there's a little move going on to boycott their products.

23. They must be held accountable
It is time to start protesting the corporate media at their local stations. "We are Change" has some great youtube videos where they are confronting members of Congress and the media. If we make their lives miserable, maybe they will stop lying or at least quit their jobs.

6. I used to work at NBC.
I had nothing to do with the news or sports departments, but for some reason, the switchboard operator would send calls to my line when they couldn't route them elsewhere.

So I was sometimes on the receiving end of foul-mouthed complaints from viewers.

Can I offer a word of advice? You'll catch more flies with honey. If you call up intending to give anyone there "a piece of your mind," you're not going to get anywhere. Speak your complaints CIVILLY.

8. These @-holes APPEALED to be allowed to deny Kucinich the right to be on OUR airways tonite!
I don't have to use honey or anything with them. I think a nice boycott of their advertisers would speak more loudly than honey. These are assholes, not reasonable people. They're making too much money from war and pure outright theft.

And by the way, for everyone's knowledge, I'm not a Kucinich supporter. I support Edwards. However, this is too much and way beyond the pale.

11. No, they're people with whom you disagree.
Do what you want, of course, but understand the ill effect of being belligerent. However, I do think you will go farther with advertiser boycotts. This is not the same communications climate as it was in 1934 when Section 315 was first written. The money is what you want to attack.

and not every member of the public feels as you do.

But I do agree that NBC should have added Kucinich.

30. I called them earlier today...before Nevada Supremes Ruled...Keep Calling in ANGER...
about the Decision! I sent them an e-mail urging them to allow Kucinich to be in the debate when the DU Alert went out about their EMERGENCY PETITION to get Nevada Supremes to over rule the Nevada Judge who said he could go ahead in the debate because Nevada Citizens need "to hear from all the candidates."

GE won this one...but I'll never buy anything from them or the companies they own that don't have the GE Logo..but that they bought out...like Black & Decker!

34. The FCC controls licenses for LOCAL stations.
The CONTENT of those stations is what forms the NETWORK.

Petition the NBC affiliate in your area - tell them their parent network cannot forget its role in our democracy.

And boycott their national advertisers.

20. just sent this to the link above..for keith olbermann..

I sure do hope this gets to you..I've been a supporter..since the early days when no one knew who you were..and you were interesting..but then you became bold..and I stayed a supporter and wrote emails to msnbc and everyone else.

You've been great..but today I am disappointed..so very heartsick. One quick mention last evening about Dennis Kucinich and the lawsuit with MSNBC and the same tonight. This is so wrong. How can the media determine after just the Iowa primary and the New Hampshire primary who can debate. Whether I agree with him or not, Dennis Kucinich has every right to be at the debate this evening. It is not a decision of the media. The media is ultimately determining who are candidates are. You don't really believe that is democratic? You couldn't. You just couldn't.

While I'm at it..Why no mention of Sibel Edmonds? Is this not the story of the last decade?

What's happening Keith? I don't have another journalist whom I trust for legitimate news. Please dont be a part of the problem. Please.

To think of how much effort has been wasted in here because the American public is (generally) so media illiterate.

The pocketbook is the only way to protest a cable network.
