Police dressed as construction workers sting drivers
Thirty-one motorists have been stung by Operation Yellow Jacket, a state police highway enforcement program that uses police officers dressed as construction workers.

Yesterday, 28 motorists were cited for violations while traveling on Interstate 79 north between Kirwan Heights and Bridgeville.

Three others received warnings, state police said.

Troopers and police officers tomorrow will move to a different site on the highway. They will pose as construction workers or part of PennDOT crews while armed with radar equipment.

When violators are spotted, their information is radioed ahead to a uniformed trooper in a marked police cruiser who will pull the driver over.

1. Sounds okay to me---the highways are fearsome
Easy way to avoid this problem is to obey the laws.

2. yeah but
Pennsylvania is notorious for construction zones that last for twenty to fifty miles or more that last all summer. This is just entrapment. Remember when that was illegal?

3. Entrapment is when police entice you to do something *you would not otherwise do*.

In the vast majority of cases, speeding simply doesn't meet that definition.

5. People need to slow the f*** down
Their dazzling interstate speeds and maneuvers should be curtailed wherever possible. I'm for it, it could save lives.

7. That needs to be done here on the highways around
the Atlanta area. Drivers here are suicide prone. They all drive like they are on the Indianapolis speedway. If you are driving 70 or 75 on I-75 or 285, you will be tailgated.
