Onward Christian Soldiers!


Dennis Kucinich is denied access to a cable television (MSNBC) presidential debate because his poll numbers are low. His poll numbers are low because television networks - like MSNBC - ignore him and his message of peace, justice, and economic responsibility.

However, television will give mouth-breathing coverage to the religio/fascist thug Mike Huckabee who, given a chance, would utterly destroy secular government and replace it with his brand of murderous Christian fundamentalism - a sort that is not far removed, if removed at all, from the mad screaming of Pope Urban VIII, he of Inquisition fame. Urban also was terrified of sex and human anatomy. In 1624 he issued a papal bull that made smoking tobacco punishable by excommunication, because he believed it lead to sneezing which too closely resembled sexual ecstasy. To Urban, the clitoris and his own penis were, apparently, physical evidence of Satan's unending assault on godliness, sanctification, and especially cleanliness.

But, I digress.

Mike Huckabee (such a Mark Twain-ish sounding name - sigh . . .) now goes one step further in proudly flaunting his private insanity and, of course, this time it has to do with those goddam Jews, er, I mean those goddam queers. According to Talking Points Memo, Huckabee said the following in an interview with the religious web site Beliefnet.com:

QUESTIONER: Is it your goal to bring the Constitution into strict conformity with the Bible? Some people would consider that a kind of dangerous undertaking, particularly given the variety of biblical interpretations.
HUCKABEE: Well, I don't think that’s a radical view to say we're going to affirm marriage. I think the radical view is to say that we're going to change the definition of marriage so that it can mean two men, two women, . . . a man and animal.

Yeah, that old "man and an animal" riff that religious conservative nut balls just can't seem to get out of their anti-homosexual rants. Remember Rick Santorum? The corpse fondling former Senator from Pennsylvania? The freak who insisted man to man sex was a short lubricated slide away from man on animal sex? (Of course, the corpse was his and his wife's own miscarried fetus so I guess the corpse-handling doesn't count, right?)

I so fervently, devoutly, prayerfully, wish these psychotic sons-a-bitches would just go away. Really. Rapture on out. Self-terminate. Give G-d a bit of assistance, boys. He's a busy Deity these days, what with Armageddon just around the next oil rig. Here. You can even borrow one of my guns.

I read this the same day I read in the Wall Street Journal that greenspan was joining the vulture funds feeding off this mess.
