Stimulus = selling out the future, to make the present look good

Haven't we burdened the future with enough debt already ? ...it doesn't have to be this way.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President Clinton announced Wednesday that the federal budget surplus for fiscal year 2000 amounted to at least $230 billion, making it the largest in U.S. history and topping last year's record surplus of $122.7 billion.

WASHINGTON (CNN) - President Bill Clinton said Monday that the United States would pay off $216 billion in debt this year, bringing to $355 billion the amount of the nation's debt paid down in the three years since the government balanced the budget and began running surpluses. I believe the biggest threat we face as a nation is our debt. And this coming 'stimulus' will only create more debt. We are about to trade a recession for inflation, put on your seat belts.
