You just can't make this shit up....

And if you think deficits are big now, wait until boomers start to retire. You see, by rights, we should be running big surpluses in anticipation of redeeming the "Trust Fund". But we already gave those away in tax cuts to the rich.

Just like Global Warming, we're about to enter an era of consequences..

1. there was stability in '97 when my son was born.
It wasn't perfect, but things weren't bad.

His future is so bleak--we will likely still be engaged in two offensives overseas, he owes the government thousands already, and the economy is going downhill fast.

Fuck you, George W Bush.

3. Boomers are in their prime earning years. SS taxes are at an all-time high...
And yet we're running record deficits?

No wonder the dollar's dropping like a rock.

4. It must be good for the economy though, right? Because Republicans are the party
of fiscal wisdom, so I've been told.

5. We are doing exactly THE OPPOSITE of what we need to do...
to make it through the next 20 to 30 years.

I am NOT exaggerating when I say that what's coming will make the Great Depression look like a minor recession.

As one pundit put it: "Gold is for optimists. I'm investing in canned goods."
