Right To Life Group Sends Plastic Fetus In Mail

A right to life group in Racine is under fire after mailing controversial material to 44,000 people.

It included an informational letter, a fundraising envelope and a small plastic fetus.

Mystical Listrom said she was not happy with what she found inside when she opened a letter from Wisconsin Right to Life accompanied by a plastic fetus.

It's my right to choose to do what I want with my body. I shouldn't have people telling me what I can and can't do with my body," Listrom said.

1. I don't care if it rains or freezes, long as I have my plastic fetus,
sitting on the dashboard of my car.

Everybody, now...

3. Haven't heard that ditty in a while. It would make a nice rearview mirror ornament
or keychain accessory.

26. Oh, rearview mirror ornament, definitely
Keychains are hidden in pockets too often. That mirror fetus will always be visible. You could even paint it to resemble the real thing, eye spots, gills, and all. It could be the new gross accessory for Goths and their plainclothes sympathizers.

If you could collect enough of them, you could dangle them from your car's rear window, like the ball fringe on pimpmobiles.

It could also have a second trimester abortion hole drilled through its head and be used as an obscene lavalier. Two could be used as coordinating earrings. Men could mount jewelry pins on the back and use them as tie pins.

The uses as vehicle and personal accessories are just about limitless. We could have a great deal of fun with these stupid things with just a little bit of imagination.

2. Practical, though disappointing. A fresh one would need special packaging
while a plastic one makes for a poor dip.

11. That's the scary part, if they could they would definitely send a real fetus.
It wouldn't bother them at all.

These fundies are in need of serious therapy.

24. Oh yeah chere! We used to call 'em "king cake babies"
the anti's there would wave those in our faces while we were defending the clinics. And that's exactly what we called 'em, too. "Oh, look, you got the king cake baby!" They never did buy us the next cake...

27. reminds me of a Vic & Nat'ly cartoon
where one of them whispers to the other to swallow the baby, cos they don't want to have to buy the next cake for the people they were with :-)

5. What is the plural of fetus?
Just curious. If I got that, I would attach a brick and mail it back just so they had to pay the postage.

was getting a St. Joseph statue for someone trying to sell their house and couldn't find.

I saw these at the checkout and was stunned.

8. I realized this is a emotional and important issue, and hate the fact that women end up in positions
where abortions are used. I fully support their remaining legal and available, just hate they are necessary.

With that being said, I think my cats would enjoy playing with that thing.

10. If this group cares about children so much, maybe instread
of wasting money harassing women, they can use it to help women who cannot afford neonatal care.

But they don't care about the born babies.

They just "care about" the unborn. :puke:

20. Care? Care?
Funny word, that. No, the opponents of a woman's right to control her body aren't about caring. Actually, this is rather a refreshing bit of truth in advertising: The fetus is a prop, an advertising gimmick, like the prize in a box of Cracker Jack or a sticker that you get with a computer or something.

12. Send pictures of maimed and killed Iraqi children to the fundies!
Really, sometimes I think it's necessary to fight fire with fire.

Be just as sickening as they are, but more to the point.

30. Even better...
get out a Dremel tool, if you have one, or a drill if you don't have a Dremel. Chuck up a 1/8" drill bit and follow along...

step 1: very, very carefully open the envelope containing the plastic fetus (plural: fetuses)
step 2: hold the plastic fetus in your hand, toes down and feet toward you
step 3: use the drill to make a little hole in the base of the plastic fetus's skull, right next to the neck
step 4: put the little plastic "partial birth abortion victim" back in the envelope, reseal it, mark "return to sender" and drop in the nearest mailbox.

18. there is an ad showing on foodnetwork here from fungus (aka focus on the family)
that is so blatantly offensive and anti=choice. I call them on it every time I see the ad, and call them on their hatred for women.

basically, of course, the CHOICE, according to them, belongs to the z/e/f

25. I'd suggest someone start sending them plastic ding-dongs
We all know they haven't seen one, even the guys.

What did you think I was talking about?

Sending plastic ding dongs is cruel, because you think they're real until you bite into them.
