CHENEY On Iran: "We Haven't Taken Any Options OFF The Table"
US keeps 'all options' open concerning Iran: Cheney AFP
Published: Friday February 23, 2007

US Vice President Dick Cheney vowed the United States would "do everything" it can to deprive Iran of nuclear weapons, and refused to rule out military action in a US television interview Friday.

...............

"We hope we can solve the problem diplomatically," Cheney told ABC Friday. President George W. Bush "has indicated he wants to do everything he can to resolve it diplomatically. That's why we're working with the (European Union) and going through the United Nations with sanctions.

"But the president has also made it clear that we haven't taken any options off the table," he said.

When pressed about what he meant, Cheney said: "I'm not going beyond where I am. As we've said, we're doing everything we can do resolve it diplomatically. We haven't taken any options off the table."

3. Another war to coverup republican crimes and failures elsewhere
As the lemmings stand on the sidelines and cheer. bush doesn't seek diplomatic solutions because he and his kind are failures at diplomacy. And they have also proven themselves failures at attempted military solutions. And they are failures at honest business practices. Gee, how many failures does it take for the lemmings to notice a trend?

5. Ordinarily, this woul;dn't bother me at all, since...
it's the usual saber-rattling diplospeak during tough negotiations-- never take anything off the table.

But, this is Cheney we're talking about here. During the same speech, Cheney also said you can't trust a government that looks at the rest of the world as a battleground.

If I believed in the Antichrist, this guy would be it.

6. How many on this board have written a letter to a paper critical of Cheney recently?
Now would be the time.

I did, this month. I will do so again, this weekend.
