As heavy snow fell over large parts of China on Monday, there were widespread traffic disruptions and at least four deaths caused by structures collapsing under the weight of snow. Three of the fatalities were in central China's Hubei Province, which has had its heaviest snow in 16 years, and in the country's eastern province of Anhui, where it has been snowing since Jan. 11. Snow accumulation in Xianning, Hubei, caused a housing collapse, which killed one elderly woman. In Wuhan, the provincial capital, snow collapsed a fuel station, killing a couple inside, according to local sources.)

and Hungary is having a record breaking Heat Wave. snow flowers are blooming

A new national heat record for January 20 was set in Hungary yesterday as the temperature reached 17.2 degrees Celsius in Szentgotthárd. The previous national record of 15 degrees was registered in Győr in 1966. Many people spent the day outside, some even ate ice cream. At the end of January, the temperature is usually around one degree Celsius, but now even snow-flowers are blossoming in Szeged. The heat record at dawn was broken as well, as the temperature reached nine Celsius degrees in Miskolc today at dawn. At dawn on January 21st, the highest temperature ever measured was 6.7 Celsius degrees, registered in Tevele (Tolna County). According to meteorologist Tibor Véber, during Monday, a new heat record might be set again.
