1. you get stationed at a base
from your base you are "deployed" to iraq. Hope your brother stays safe.

(ie I was stationed at fort campbell while we were deployed in iraq)

although ft gorden is more of a training center for telecommunications ( i went to ait their) ft drum is more for combat arms. I mean he may not be deployed but just didnt want you to get his hopes.

6. My daughter's husband is stationed there. About an hour from me.
Very cold in this area right now! Wind chill last night was -18. The only ones not minding it were our horses!

8. He's lucky, my nephew is back in Iraq for tour #3 after they told he would not be deployed again.
