6. IMO, a thief could NEVER get away with their crime(s) if we don't believe their LIE
FIRST.

IMO, the liar is the worst. The liar creates the bed for the thief.

7. A liar is MUCH worse. A thief may take your stuff, but a liar fucks with your perception of REALITY.
That's a way more egregious crime, imho.

Far more harm has been done to humanity and the world with LIES than with theft. False beliefs enable atrocities.

16. Depends on what each stole/lied about and why
There's a bit of dishonesty that's required for social interaction ("What a beautiful baby!" etc.), while there's not a bit of socially-acceptable theft, so I guess thieves are a bit lower on the totem pole.
