Tonight's Real Time With Bill Maher lineup
http://www.hbo.com/billmaher/

This Friday on Real Time, Bill welcomes David Mamet, Steven Weber, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) and via satellite Sen. Joe Biden (D-DE). Tune-in Friday night at 11pm ET/PT and stay around after the show for Overtime our exclusive live web program.

Not very inspiring. I still haven't forgiven Issa for berating and questioning the motives of the families of those 4 contractors who were murdered (who, after listening to the testimony, I'm quite convinced were set up and left to die by Blackwater)

And Biden? He's already got his own bed at all of the Sunday talk shows, can't he leave the good TV shows alone? :eyes:

1. Bet Maher brings up the "articulate/clean" comments...
other than that, Biden is a stuffed shirt.

3. It'll be interesting to hear what he has to say compared to his last visit...
...which was pre-Mid-Terms and he sounded very liberal (for a rethuglican)....wonder if he's back to his bush-licking ways....

6. I hope Mamet sounds better than his dialogue in films usually does
He has his characters spouting some really stilted choppy dialogue at times - just watch "House of Games" or "Glengarry Glen Ross" some time.

7. Hope it's more dynamic than last week
which was a snoozefest-- I felt like packin it in around 20 minutes into the show.

Not a very auspicious kickoff.

8. this is looking pretty SUCK-0
Somali-born former Dutch MP Ayaan Hirsi Ali, known for her outspoken criticism of conservative Islam, seems unable to avoid controversy.

Caught up in a row over her Dutch citizenship, she resigned from parliament in May and said she would leave the Netherlands.

Her troubles began when Immigration Minister Rita Verdonk said she should be stripped of her passport because of falsifications in her asylum application when she came to the Netherlands in 1992.

But after the decision sparked uproar, Ms Verdonk made a major U-turn and said Ms Hirsi Ali could keep her Dutch citizenship after all.

It will not be enough to keep the 36-year-old in the country, however.

She has been offered a job at a Washington-based conservative think-tank, the American Enterprise Institute, starting in September.

9. I may not stay up for this line up
tho I hve to say I appreciate the reminder. I don't know WHY I have such a difficult time remembering Maher on Fri nights, other than the reason that his show ultimately seems so OCCASIONAL. What is it -- 6 weeks on, 20 weeks off (slight exaggeration there).
