It’s clear that the liberal commie media is in full control. They ran off Tancredo, Hunter, now Thompson. They certainly can not be having actual conservative Republicans running for President. That is reserved for RINO’s and CCID’s (Communist Calling Itself Democrat).

Well “republicans” you had your chance, and ya’ll f****d it off.

Final advice? Get rifles and ammo while you can cause after getting the illegal aliens amnestied they will be finding ways to disarm everyone no matter what the Supreme Court decides.

Good Luck.

17. wow. They cheer the systematic dismantling of every other bill of right
but still cling tenaciously to their penis... I mean... gun.

I am fairly in the middle about guns - not rabidly for or against honestly - but I think the first amendment is far more important of the two. Once you get to the point where guns are necessary, the legality of it won't matter so much, imo.

19. Feel the same way.
I have pistols and enjoy shooting them in a controlled environment. Nevertheless, I have to admit that allowing civilians to have machine guns, cop-killer bullets, and an unregulated purchasing process is probably not a good idea.

Free speech, press and assembly is a far more useful right. I have never shot anyone and probably never will. OTOH, I verbally annoy people every day.

The cornerstone, bedrock, foundation and every other noun that means cornerstone, bedrock or foundation of a free society is habeus corpus. That is the right to make the state justify why it is keeping a person. That is the difference between the rule of law and arbitrary power. I also think that the Constitution governs American people, not American dirt. By that I mean it restrains anyone who exercises authority granted by the US government where ever it is exercised.

Bush Inc. has abused the hell out of the Constitution. I'm not going to risk turning us into Caesar's Rome just to protect my hobby.

21. None of those are...
I have pistols and enjoy shooting them in a controlled environment. Nevertheless, I have to admit that allowing civilians to have machine guns, cop-killer bullets, and an unregulated purchasing process is probably not a good idea.

Which are already tightly controlled, of course...

Free speech, press and assembly is a far more useful right. I have never shot anyone and probably never will. OTOH, I verbally annoy people every day.

More useful on a day-to-day basis, certainly. Ultimately more important...I'm not sure. (Nor do I believe the 2ndA is more important than the 1st, FWIW.) I think they're all important.

The cornerstone, bedrock, foundation and every other noun that means cornerstone, bedrock or foundation of a free society is habeus corpus. That is the right to make the state justify why it is keeping a person. That is the difference between the rule of law and arbitrary power.

Agreed.

I also think that the Constitution governs American people, not American dirt. By that I mean it restrains anyone who exercises authority granted by the US government where ever it is exercised.

This is of crucial importance, and one which BushCo apologists have missed WRT torture and detention without trial. That point needs to be shouted from the housetops.

Bush Inc. has abused the hell out of the Constitution. I'm not going to risk turning us into Caesar's Rome just to protect my hobby.

It's not either-or. There is no reason whatsoever why Dems shouldn't protect the 2ndA more carefully than repubs do. (Until rather recently, gun-control was an elist conservative movement in the United States, and many of our state-level gun laws were originally enacted to keep guns out of the wrong color hands.)

No, except we don't. I think it is because Ds usually represent urban areas and Rs more rural places. City dwellers tend to be in favor of gun restrictions as a reaction to city violence. Whether restrictions really result in reduced violence is another matter.
