Poll question: Osama's son Omar bin Laden: genuine, or just desperate for attention?
Osama bin Laden's son, Omar, appeared on the Today Show this morning, along with his wife. In what was surely one of the more bizarre interviews in awhile, Matt Lauer asked Omar what he would do if he knew his father's location. Would he turn Osama in to the authorities? As it turns out, Omar would not. However, Omar's wife got to the heart of the matter, chiming in with the mystifying claim that what she and Omar really want is for Osama and President Bush to meet and hash out their differences. Only then, she says, will the violence cease.

Watch the video from the Today Show below, and tell HuffPost whether you think Omar bin Laden is genuine, or just desperate for attention: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/01/22/osamas-sons-wife-we-wa_n_82687.html

2. Perhaps a bit of both, with a heavy helping of...
...delusional. It can't be easy being Ozzie's boy. He and his wife are clearly not up on the issues if they think the root of the problem is a personal spat between dad and Shrubbie. I'm not sure that Osama bin Laden has anything like the kind of authority necessary to "hash out" differences in a way that would bind the other militant mullahs and sundry senior Islamonaughties.

No, I think Omar is just indulging in a lot of wishful thinking.

No, wait, that's a bad choice too.

5. I believe this is the opening salvo
for the rehabilitation of Osama Bin Laden, and at some point a peace treaty in the future will be signed by some future President and Al Quaeda. This was P.R. to that extent and served as the proverbial balloon float.

7. neither want the violence to cease
both have used terror for political purposes. It is a tool that is very effective and the thought that bush or osama would give it up is ludicrous.
