Poll and my 1000th post: Muffin Distribution

This chart is from 2001, ya know, the afterglow of the glorious Clinton years when all the poor got rich and things were great for the working class. Things are worse now of course.

Now I've ranted on this before, but if there are 100 Americans in a room and 100 muffins on a table in that room, why does the one rich guy get to grab 33 muffins for himself? The bottom 60 people have to make do sharing 4 muffins? A half a handful of crumbs for us peasants?

I've posted alot of class warrior comments on DU and the standard response is that I have class envy or that I don't understand the need for a free market or even that I'm just a hateful SOB. I've also heard how I should "pull myself up by my own bootstraps", as if all 100 of us can have 33 muffins at once.

I found this picture while looking for a chart for wealth distribution. Things don't seem to have changed much in the last 100 years because this is an accurate picture of America:



The guy waving the red flag gives me the willies though. DU, someone along the line, did I become a commie because I think there should be a limit on how many muffins you can take off of the American table for yourself? How do you feel about muffin distribution?

really, I do.

everyone gives the biggest guy a bite to stand in front of the table and keep things even. Our government was supposed to be that guy but he betrayed us because we gave him the power to do so. As to what you do to the betrayer depends on your definition of revolution.

Though actually I am only a Socialist. I usually don't get all the insults that the Reds are so lucky to receive. :(

Normally I would advocate that people respond to things with actual debate and information, but the kinds of charges leveled at you are not worthy of a real response. Instead, just point them to the bumper sticker which reads "At least the war on the middle class is going well".

(taking a clue here from Dorothy Bryant, as she wrote in "The Kin of Ata Are Waiting for You", you have a muffin in your hand, and all you can do with it is to feed the person to your left. Who feeds the person to his left, who feeds the person to her left...)

I would've said "Take Richie Rich's muffins by force if voting doesn't work" but it might be against this rule:
