1. You have to remember
It's all about being bipartisan, and now with the economy the way it is, isn't the time for any kind of partisan politics.

Like subpoenas for Josh Bolton and Harriet Myers relating to the firing of 9 US Attorneys. So, nailing Mr. Grossman just would not show a bipartisan attitude, now would it?

Actually I don't know what, if anything has happened, but with the current record of the US Congress he'll probably get a free pass!

And if he doesn't then we can all be surprised together.;)

2. Keep in mind, that the topic he was testifying wasn't related to Sibel Edmonds...

... at least so far as we know. It was more to do with the way the U.S. is building embassies in places like Iraq now, which some on this oversight subcommittee thought was worth examining more closely. Those of us that noticed he was testifying thought it might be a good way to "corner him" by either getting congressmen to slip creatively "related" Sibel questions into the hearing proceedings, or as Brad Friedman suggested, cornering him before or after the hearing with video cameras and get him to answer our questions on what Sibel is saying (though that wouldn't be necessarily on the stand under oath in that instance).

The short answer is that Waxman's committee still isn't making a point of bringing Sibel or anyone related to her allegations to answer for those allegations in just yet. We have to work between the cracks on this one. Thought there might have been one to exploit yesterday, but according to a comment in another thread, the hearings themselves didn't generate any such questioning. Only hope some "citizen journalists" were able to do what Brad asked and get him cornered on such questions that could be youtubed later.
