Poll question: Dow Industrials Average when B*sh leaves office?
The Dow Jones Industrial Average when B*sh took office was 10,578. Today it is around 11,821, off 2459 points from its high of 14,280.

Do you think by the time B*sh leaves office the Dow will be below when he took office, eight years earlier?

3. I'm going to guess that's a really bad guess.
My guess -- and its just a guess -- is that its around the same level or a bit higher. Certainly no more than 5 percent below what it was and probably a bit higher.

4. I think it will be between 11,000 & 12,000. Remember, that's
almost a whole year from now. The problem for the Pubs is, the public will not recognize any kind of a recovery at that point.

7. I'd say about the same
I'd also say no one really has a damned clue what's going to happen now which is what's really worrying. The market is très volatile.

8. The (Greater Fool Quest) 'market' is PROspective, not RETROspective.
It's the Pollyanna's vs. the Cassandra's in a self-fulfilling prophecy of dunces. As "B*sh leaves office," another person will be taking office. It's the EXPECTATION regarding the effect of the incoming that's added to the mix of crystal ball gazing. (The days of 'fundmental' pricing are long past.)
