Want to Prevent a Depression? Impeach Dick Cheney
Want to Prevent a Depression? Impeach Dick Cheney

<snip>

And speaking of war, another major reason for our profound economic problems is Iraq. After predicting a cost-free war, Bush's disastrous occupation has already forced him to borrow $500 billion from China and the Arab oil monarchies, driving down the dollar and discouraging foreign investment. Who demanded the war in Iraq? Dick Cheney, of course.

<snip>

Another drag on the U.S. economy is hard to measure but still large - corruption. Bush and his huge-donor "Rangers" brought crony capitalism to Washington and killed competitive bidding in favor of corrupt no-bid contracts. The result was predictable - massive waste and cost overruns. Who was the driving force behind Bush's crony capitalism? Dick Cheney, of course.

Bush's disastrous policies in all three areas - economic regulation, foreign/military policy, and government waste - have driven the U.S. economy to the verge of another Great Depression. Just as Karl Rove was "The Architect" of Bush's political strategy, Dick Cheney was - and remains - "The Architect" of Bush's economic and military policies. So as long as Dick Cheney controls these policies, absolutely nothing will change.

If Congress wants to prevent the coming Depression, they should forget about tax rebates and start impeachment hearings for the most catastrophic Vice President in history, Dick Cheney.

1. and so after these corrupt cronies to get some of our tax payer $ back! Wally O'Dell @
Diebold comes to mind. These fucking voting machines was nothing but a way to control outcomes of elections while funneling huge amounts of $ to these "pioneers". Billions of $ spent on machines that are accurate or reliable yet the same companies can produce ATM machines that can be trusted. We need to go after these corporations and sue.

Here is one petition suggesting just this:

Dear Friends,
I have just read and signed the petition: "Ohio Secretary of State, Sue Voting Machine Vendors for Product Liability".

Please take a moment to read about this important issue, and join me in signing the petition. It takes just 30 seconds, but can truly make a difference. We are trying to reach 1000 signatures - please sign here:http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/help-save-Ohio-voting

Once you have signed, you can help even more by asking your friends and family to sign as well.

Thank you!

Can You Count on Voting Machines?

Nearly half of voting machines tested fail

Montgomery officials tested the 5% of machines that drew complaints; 56 of those 125 machines failed.

DAYTON — After two days of tests, the results are in: About 2,500 people cast ballots in November on 56 malfunctioning electronic touch-screen voting machines in Montgomery County, said Steve Harsman, county board of elections director.

He said it is impossible to know how many people finalized their electronic ballots without realizing that the Diebold Elections Systems machines were inaccurately registering their votes. But people had three chances to review their votes before finalizing them, and all the machines accurately tallied the votes that were finalized by voters, Harsman said.

On Tuesday, county election officials completed testing of 125 machines identified in voter complaints collected by Advocates for Basic Legal Equality, which called for the investigation. Some 2,530 voting machines were used in the county on Election Day.

Harsman said several malfunctioning machines were clustered at certain precincts, indicating they may have been damaged during delivery by a trucking company that hauls the machines to the polls.
