Just met with my repub congressman on Iraq.
BIG difference from a year ago.

A lot more humility, listening, some mumbled
admissions about "mistakes", and of "blunt talk" going on behind the scenes.

Said he could give the current course a very limited
amount of time for results, definitely not a year.

Listened to our (as always) factual presentation, and
did not disagree on anything substantive about the
horrors going on there.

2. What I worry about
There will undoubtedly be upticks of manufactured improvement. For instance, while more troops are in an area, Bush says: "lookee its getting all better, stay the course" when in fact they simply moved to a different area to wait until the troops go somewhere else.

its OVER, its BEEN OVER and any congresscritter who doesn't recognize that is simply covering his own ass with the blood and treasure of the United States for his own political ends.

Sorry, but that's the way I feel

4. His profile says he's from Midland, MI, so probably Dave Camp. (nt)

5. Mine is Camp, too.
Brags about how much he does for business in MIDLAND and TRAVERSE CITY, reddest parts of the state.

He's answered my mail a couple of times, but not the last one.

6. Actually, Granholm and Stabenow both took Midland (albeit by a couple hundred votes)
I'd say Ottawa is the reddest part of the state. 72% for Bush, 64% for DeVos.
