I think I'm addicted to DU
I'm Cant trust em (crowd chimes in "Hi Cant Trust Em) and I'm a DUholic. I first started posting a few months ago and had it under control. I'd post a few times a week and that would solve my craving. Since the primaries have taken off that's when I really needed to get my political fix regularly. I'm sure that if my boss knew that I was a DU abuser then I'd be fired. I'm like Tyrone Biggums from the Dave Chappelle skit.

5. I know that I'm messed up when
I had a really salient point that someone ignored but found time to get the last word in before he put me on ignore. I'm obsessing over it now.

This is really unhealthy.

3. Hahaha, don't feel bad, my vacuum cleaner has been sitting in the
middle of my LR floor for two weeks, I get on here and feel resentful when I have to leave for important things like go to the bathroom, make something to eat, etc. Maybe we can start a DU-12 Step program...

21. You too?
My vac has been in the dining room since July. It's been used since, but has never seemed to find its way back to the closet in the spare bed/puter room.
My name is 'pede and I'm a DUaholic.

22. Monmouth, can you please send me a message I can respond to?
I'm a new member and had a question about the postings regarding the GOP debate and the singing of the national anthem.

Thank you,

Inquiringmind2

8. I think I figured it out
I'll probably stop posting quite as heavily when the General election has been decided. I think that I agree with 95% of the anti-republican posts on the site, so I can read articles and have nothing new to say and no one will argue with what I've said. But now when we're being forced to pit Dem against Dem I have a lot to say and many reasons to disagree with why people are in favor of whoever they are in favor of. When the primaries are over, I'll probably check out a little bit.

11. Denial...
is not just a river in Egypt, Poiuyt. The first step to recovery is admitting your addiction. Don't make me come over there and preform an intervention......

10. Tell me about it
I used to think I could quit any time. Now I...can't stop.

And I'm only partially kidding. I spend way too much time here, and way too much time when I'm not here stewing about something some anonymous ass has said to me or wishing I'd said something differently in a response that probably no one even read. x(

My RL conversations are peppered with DU this and DU that, to the point where people get that patronizing look on their faces when I mention it.

I've been thinking I may need to go cold turkey.

12. Even if you do go cold turkey....
you can't watch a news cast at all without thinking 'wonder what they are saying about this on DU'. You get the shakes, wonder why you took out the cheap plan on your cell phone and wish you could text. And forget when you see Bush or any (R)'s on tv. It's like you have Tourette's Syndrome.

15. Tourette's...heh, yes, I do have a case of Repuke-inspired Tourette's
The one thing I really couldn't live without is knowing what's actually happening in the world. It sucks being stuck in the MSM Cone of Silence.

13. Let's see I read DU instead of watching
the SC debate. To tell you the truth, when I did watch the debate, it was a little bit of a let down. The debate thread was exciting, like listening to a play by play on the radio. So, now we know where I stand.

18. You can block yourself from certain web sites in a few ways.

I don't know if your system admins would allow you to change the hosts file, but as I am a programmer at a software company they let us tinker with some things.
