What Should I Do With The Tax Return?
Okay, so the GOP is going to give everyone $800.

The way I look at it, it's $800 I wouldn't have had, so spending it isn't going to hurt.

What would be the best way to spend it and get revenge on the neocons and their Milton-Friedman-disaster-economics?

Give it the candidate of my choice?

Donate it to The Clinton Global Initiative? Al Gore?

Please post your suggestions in reply.

Thank you.

If that's not going to be a financial problem for you then do with it as you choose.

9. Spending money on revenge seems like a waste. At least to me.
I'd rather pay a bill and get groceries and gas. Oh, and contribute to something which feels positive. :-) MKJ

10. Save It
They're going to ask for it back next year. So put it in a saving account -- with the highest yield you can find or in a short-term money market/CD type thing -- then you can give it back and keep the 40 or 50 bucks you earned on it.

But if you do spend it, check for the Made In America label...personally, I intend to buy socks.

12. I am using it for debt reduction.
If you really want to mess with them you should burn it. Not one cent is circulated through the economy!

Where you spend it will not matter much, revenge is meaningless unless those you seek revenge against know it. By all means, if you want to donate it to a worthy cause you should. It may even be tax deductible!

13. A place that feeds & assists the poor and homeless would be my suggestion.
Reportedly donations are down at a lot of food banks, etc. while the need is increasing. Domating to such an organization may not be a solution to the problem and may not be revenge against "disaster economics," but the immediate need is there.
