I really detest message board bullies. They're the cowards. I bet they wouldn't dare tease me and call me names face to face. If they saw me they would run in fear. I am solid muscle, a pure brute force to be reckoned with. One look at me and they would never again utter a single word about my spelling or grammar.

If I can't handle freedom of speech and/or personal disagreements, it's time for me to move somewhere more "peaceful". Like North Korea. I hear people's opinions get blocked there all the time...

I've been here since January 2002, or there abouts, and I'd say my time here has been 99.99% positive. Like any community, there's always a share of nitwits and butt-heads, and as the community grows, so does their number.

Yet I've never put anyone on ignore, nor will I use the block feature. I wanna see it all. The good, the bad, and the ugly. And I've been known, as many other DUers are known, to come to the defense of somebody being attacked or bullied here. I guess I figure that's the way it should be.

I guess I can imagine the need for "blocking" if somebody is actually stalking you from post to post, or disrupting and\or hi-jacking every discussion thread you initiate. But in days of DU yore, you'd just hit the alert button, write a little ditty of what the problem is and what the mods should be looking for, and 9 times outta 10, that poster wouldn't be here very much longer.

Ah well...

Maybe I'm just an old-fashioned type a guy.
