OMG. Tucker just said MSNBC got "5 TIMES" the viewership this week
for the ANS coverage of the trial. How stupid are Americans, anyway? :banghead: :banghead:

1. More self-serving shit
I'm sure their ratings were higher, but his main purpose in citing these figures is to justify the obscene amount of coverage that his paymasters have dedicated to this story.

9. That makes sense; all week I was outraged that they covered this
circus. My opinion was/is, "who cares"? What did this woman ever contribute to garner so much attention? I never did get an answer.

2. The thirty-percenters are a huge block and cable news caters to them.

3. That's fine with me
I got 5 times more work done this week from not watching the news at all this week.

4. That frickin idiot judge got the viewers
Without him none of us would have ever had to hear froggy the gremlin ever again. I thought MSNBC had shit canned her.

16. Coverage of the Libby trial by David Schuster has been awesome!
On both KO and Hardball. That's why I've been watching.

19. Yes!
They have owned this story so far as cable news goes. As for Imus ratings going up, I think people are beginning to turn to MSNBC to find out some actual news; Imus is all over the place politics-wise, so maybe he's a good transition for people emerging from the fog of Neocon propaganda.

7. Judge Larry shouldn't be sitting on any bench anywhere. Wonder what
the Bar Association makes of this??? Of course, it is Florida, Broward County. I couldn't even get Hardball the first night here in Palm Beach County. I went to BBC, much better news and then on to PBS. I may stick with them until Keith comes on.

21. I found it interesting and I thought the judge was a welcome respite from
a cut and dry boring court room. Sometimes the despair of trying to get real news and the frustration of dealing with the lies and the insanity of this administration needs a break. I watched and was intrigued with the mess people can make of their lives. No soap opera can compare to this real life story of twisted relationships. That said, nothing compares to the sad drama of what is being done in the name of patriotism to America by the Bush cabal.

10. Did CNN and Fox Nothing air ANS all day, and if so, I wonder if they saw
an increase in viewership up as well? I'd like to think something else (KO :loveya:) brought new viewers to MSNBC rather than the sickening coverage of ANS. :-(

discretion for a change.

14. Darn it, babylonsister, that's not what I wanted to read!
It's pretty sad that their viewship increased that much over who got to decide where ANS will be buried. :-(

15. You Have To Wonder
Here I was thinking their ratings would fall in the toilet, that Abrams would be fired, only to hear someone on Imus said their ratings went up 55%.

17. That's what I thought.
I figured since I was tuning out (and sending disgusted e-mails), many people were. Well, maybe so, but I guess a lot more people were tuning in to drool over the body. I weep for the future.

to tune in. To each their own. I just found there was no redeeming value, at all. This woman was a pretty nobody. I was disgusted that the media whores spent so much time on her.

I have wondered what would they do had Libby's trial been aired against ANS? Would they go for substance or titillation?
