Poll question: Dump Pelosi & Reid!
Dump Pelosi & Reid!

If you voted yes, who should replace them?

1. Keep them in office, but definitely replace them...with whom, I'm not sure, but...
...they're ok politicians, just crappy leaders.

Everyone gets to recommend who they want, right? Not sure why you are asking me if your choice is ok though.

21. I'd also love this if Feingold doesn't run for president!
Edited on Thu Jan-24-08 07:13 PM by calipendence
... and if neither of them take a cabinet position (though to take them out of congress, I'd want that to be a VERY strategic cabinet position). For Dennis, perhaps being the first Secretary of the Department of Peace would be perfect if that department were created next term. Otherwise, keep him fighting in the house.

Perhaps if we can feel that Conyers might actually have a spine without Nancy Pelosi in charge, give him a shot at leadership. Gotta believe he has enough seniority and support that he might be someone we could push to get in. Though I'd like Dennis more, it might be practically harder to get him in this position.

As for today, we DO need to end this nightmare!

Others I might like in the Senate Majority leader position would be Dodd, Boxer, or Sanders.

As for the house, perhaps Wexler too? Though the Armenian lobby might try to stop that.

8. The house needs new leadership
The house needs actual progressive leadership, the DLC needs to go the hell away before they undo the effects of the Great Blue Wave. Of course I suppose the damned triangulators prefer to have a strong GOP that they can cut deals with. I mean what the hell do we need a DLC for if there is a strong enough progressive surge to capture a long term liberal Democratic majority?

23. My theory is that Pelosi & Reid were sent memos reminding
of those Anthrax letters. If not that, then something else is afoot. These two
could not be as weak & stupid as they appear to be, could they?
