I thought Mitt's "Bill Clinton in the WH" joke came off really BAAAD
Especially when Tim R. did the follow-up, "what does that mean?" It seemed to me that he panicked at that, and then pulled a very awkward dodge something to the effect of "I only mean that I don't like her policies..." :eyes:

It was obviously a smarmy Clinton/Monica ref of course, so I don't know why TR even bothered with the follow up, but I was thinking it looked really bad. That subject is eternal red meat to the 29% but old news and a big oh brother rehash to everyone else.

Then I turn on the commentary and Tweety is just GIDDY with glee over it, like it's the most brilliant thing anybody ever said. Ohhhh brother.

2. Oh my, they laughed
I saw just the clip of Mitt yukking it up about the PH34R of Bill Clinton back in the White House on the Today Show. They were too cramped for time (some guy in an ice bath for 40 minutes held their rapt attention), so they didn't have the Russert follow-up. Surprising in and of itself that Russert would have the temerity to ask Mitt what he meant by that little remark. I'm sure it won't happen again for a long time.

3.  Everyone expects this from GOP so it has no effect except
the Base. Mitt had to prove he was covering all sections of
the GOP.
