2. I don't undetstand why Russert didn't press him further.
You'd think Russert would hate being called a liar, but NO.

5. EXACTLY!!!
I was dumbfounded that Russert didn't call him on it. Made Russert look REALLY bad. Hopefully some will ask Russert that very question.

6. What I don't get about Russert is he's obviously a Democrat.
He worked with both Cuomo and Moynihan, yet some of his worst disdain is toward Democratic candidates, while letting Republicans get off relatively easy. Do you think he's trying to overcompensate his past, so he isn't labeled as a partisan hack of the vast left-wing media conspiracy?

8. I disagree about Russert, he likes a winner, regardless of party.
I can't watch him anymore. He pillories most Dem candidates with "gotcha" questions and he's been lobbing softballs to most of the Repubs right along - perhaps out of respect for their physical and mental state - but still, he lost his place in the political arena and (honest) journalism. He's just a hack and a political whore like everyone else now.

4. Yes, my husband and I both noticed. Having seen the
previous clip on tv, we were shocked.
