Webb should give one of the Keynotes in Denver in 08
Last night, Senator Webb knocked one out of the park! In ten minutes, he made a more cogent argument regarding what needs to be done in Iraq than Chimpy has in the last four years! This man just radiates gravitas.

I think that Jim Webb would make a great Keynote Speaker at the National Convention in Denver in 2008. This man has a presence that is just amazing. Given his background and his credentials, I know it would garner more attention that the usual keynoters.

Best keynote Speakers of the last thirty-five years:

1. Texas State Treasurer Ann Richards, 1988

2. Congreswoman Barbara Jordan, 1976

3. Candidate Barak Obama, 2004

4. Governor Zell Miller, 1992 (this was before he went insane, he DESTROYED Poppy Bush and Perot)

I think Webb could easily make this list.

3. Gee, how could I forget Bill in 88????
That wasn't a keynote speech, it was a nomination speech for Michael Dukakis. I think I dozed off after the first few hours of that stem-winder. :boring:

I remember that the loudest applause Clinton got that night was when he said "In Conclusion".

You're right, though, whtever became of that Clinon guy?
;-)

at the time and I was shouting at the screen, please stop. Just end the damn speech NOW! Yes, in conclusion got the biggest applause. I met him several times when he was governor. Controls any room he walks into.
