Anyone watching the call-in on C-Span?

Are these callers the US "mainstream"?

I feel like they were watching different speeches than I did.

Saying that both Bush & Sibelius' speeches were very good?

Bush gave a mealy-mouthed re-hash of every other SOTU he's ever given, and Sibelius gave a conciliatory nothing of a speech that somehow managed to actually be MORE boring than the usual boring democratic rebuttal.

And the lack of focus by all sides on the impending economic disaster is the most disturbing thing of all...

Either total political junkies like us, or even more likely, paid party hacks.

3. I called in one time, and pretended to be a Republican.

I acted like a Southern Baptist soccer mom disgusted with the loss of morals in the Republican party, in response to the Foley scandal.

I'm sure a LOT of people do this.

elections are futile! You will be assimilated. Do you really think what you say or how you vote makes any differance"? Sorry, corporations rule the world and you don't. There is a reason that 2% of the population owns 80% of the wealth. All the rest is bread and circus while you and I fight over the remaining 20% Do you really think your vote counts?. I think not.
