Bushes little Tax joke rant

Bush joked last night that the people that want to pay higher taxes can go ahead and just send a check or money order to the IRS. Hahahaha. It's funny until you understand I don't want to pay higher taxes for Bushes kind of Government. Who wants to pay more for a government that continues to cut social services? Dude it's no laughing matter that most of us that had our federal taxes cut a small amount in 2001 and 2003 have seen most of that tax cut goto state in local tax rises. Why did state and local taxes rise, because someone had to pay for the short fall in Bushes social services. Even though many of the services come in the form of unfunded mandates from the federal government. Worse the average Americans salary dropped during his administration. Also you can't pretend to have cut taxes when you run up a huge deficit. What is the magic money fairy going to pop in and pay off the deficit? Bush didn't cut my federal taxes he just delayed payment. I currently owe ~30 K in national debt. Woot thanks. So frankly what's so funny about a future America where I will almost certainly have to pay higher taxes with no social return because that higher taxes will simply pay for Bushes extravagant spending on... on what? Certainly not America or Americas social infrastructure.

He said the tax increase would affect 1/3 of Americans but fails to mention it's the richest 1/3 who are doing just fine, and that the taxes will go toward helping everyone. I personally want to bottom 2/3 of Americans healthy and doing well so they can contribute to the overall economy. I don't know why Republicans don't understand that.

Nobody minds paying taxes as long as it affords them a decent quality of life, and a functioning civil infrastructure.

What I despise is paying for bush's illegal war. 275 million dollars a day (that's a conservative estimate). Fuck you George Bush, I hope there is a hell and I hope you burn in it forever.

He isn't using tax money to pay for the war. He isn't paying for the war at all. The war is all outside the budget. He has never, ever to a single American explained how the country will actually pay for the war in Iraq since it's started. Why Democrats have not tied the war spending to the economy is probably the biggest huh? of the election year. Bush is only willing to give a one time 150 Billion to the people of America, but 200 billion a year to the people of Iraq. Why does Bush hate America?

It usually starts out with something like if you don't want taxes cut, you could go ahead and send in even more money if you wanted. Then it's like, oh, you don't want to? So then therefore, you must not want to pay taxes either or you're not putting your money where your mouth is.

It's one of those straw men arguments they're fond of.

I think a good answer to these arguments might be:

I don't "enjoy" paying for my groceries either.
But I do. In cash. I don't give the store extra money.
And I don't charge them hoping someone's kids in the future will pay the bill.
