GO SPEND THE "REBATE" (if you dare)

The pending federal "tax rebate" is not a rebate, because Congress is proposing that $300 will go to those who earned at least $3,000 last year but did not make enough to pay income taxes. This election-year stratagem panders to the poor and middle class in an attempt to buy votes. Using political stunts to stabilize the economy is a mistake.

Still I encourage all Republicans to go spend their "rebate" to stimulate the sluggish economy, thus supporting their party. As for my Democrat friends, you'd better hang on tightly to ANYTHING you have with recession (or worse) looming in the not to distant future.
