Trust me I'm no McCain fan, but.................
it's thrilling to see the Republicans in such a dither. Perhaps the idiot they've pulled the strings of the last 7 years is about to be replaced with someone a little more independent, who may even hold a grudge? Gotta love the fact that the Republican "big tent" has collapsed, leaving Huckabee evangelicals and McCain lovers on the outside. Where have you gone, Fred DiMaggio?

2. Not gonna happen.
A b*sh on the ticket would be guaranteed failure.

Same goes for Rice, Cheney, Powell.

Watch out for BeTrayus and Liddy Dole.

11. McCain is more a guaranteed failure than Jeb Bush could ever be
McCain probably won't even win his home state...

3. Good point.
Jeb would certainly be the establishment choice, keeping the skeletons buried. All the more reason a John Edwards AG would be so great in the next administration, flush out the criminals.

4. Jeb BUSH on the ticket?
Suicide by VP. In case you haven't noticed, even the GOP voters don't want another BUSH in the White House.

6. He who controls the voting machines controls the votes
It really doesn't matter at this point what the voters truly want. It's what the power structure needs.

See: Elections of 2000, 2004.

8. Oh, that's right.
We don't have a chance of winning - just like in '06. We should all just stay home on election day.

:sarcasm:

5. Damn, that's a fascinating insight that no one has considered
Jeeze. McCain/Jeb Bush?

I was worried that McCain might pick Lieberman, but your scenario makes sense.

Personally, I think--or at least hope--that McCain's moment in the sun has come and gone. It occurred eight years ago when he ran for president. But his legacy is now in shreds.

9. McCain independent? Check out his Bushlicking voting record.
He's the Two-faced Boy--say one thing for the cameras, then vote with W every time in the Senate.

If you believe that "maverick" thing, I've got this bridge in Lake Havasu for sale, real cheap...

13. First off, I don't lie
I've voted a straight party ticket starting with McGovern, national and local. In fact, voted for Hillary the other day in Tennessee early voting, not that it's any of your business. I'm just tickled that the Reps are so flipped out by their primaries. I'll make sure my opinion is ok with you next time.
