The Carville/Matalin Whore House...in All it's Splendor! from Architectural Digest...
Edited on Sun Feb-03-08 09:44 PM by KoKo01
http://www.architecturaldigest.com/homes/features/2008/01/carville_slideshow_012008?showall=true

This is the House...James & Mary have built....Mary off her relationship with Cheney and the Iraq War and James off his Campaigns...working against Hugo Chavez and FOR tin pot CIA OPS along with his CNN and DLC Whoring for Mega Bucks.

This House isn't their Virginia Ranch which is just a mile or two down the road from the Begala's spread.

Have a Coke with Bill Frist or a Military Contract with Blackwater....whatever you want the Carville/Matalin family is the "gun for hire."

really , just curious.

How is he different from Carville, in using a presidential candidate?

It's the reality of politics, but before you throw stones, make sure your house can stand.

60. When did Kennedy EVER undermine and sabotage a Dem nominee?
Edited on Mon Feb-04-08 11:50 AM by blm
Even after he ran a primary against Carter he brought the Dems together as he always planned.

Clintons planned to keep 2008 open for Hillary and supported and defended Bush for 7 years to make sure any Dem opposing him would have a tougher time with the last Dem president PUBLICLY defending the current GOP president on his decisions on terrorism and Iraq war.

76. Is it so awful that the progressive wing is taking on the Clinton-Lieberman wing of the party?
They LET Clintons have their turn and TRIED it the triangulating way - and it came back to bite the whole party and the nation in the ass.

So why NOT stand up and say NO MORE to the Bushprotecting RIGHT WING of the Dem party?

56. I have lived in LA for over 20 years. Our antebellum mansions generally
do not house whores. They are usually reserved for tourists. All of Louisiana is not a joke, you know? There are some very fine people living here, some even are democrats. We have fine decorators and some lovely homes.

I agree, however, that the Carville house is not to my liking. Seems a bit overblown. Probably is Mary's taste, and I do not know where she was born or raised. Do you?

36. I'm not so sure, in the article Mary said she saw this "double wide" townhouse and bought it
it also says their living room is 45' by 18'. Not gigantic but pretty big. The dining room doesn't look so small either. And the photo credits note they have a piece by Chagall which can't be cheap.

Plus, these interior designers were not cheap nor is anything in this house cheap...with the possible exception of mom and dad...if you know what I mean.

Man, that place has Got to be HUGE with a living room that size!

You're right -- that interior cost a wad. Even the ceilings are "done".

He was on a radio show one morning and she told him he had to hang up and take the girls to school. I was surprised and impressed that they do something as normal as bringing their own kids to school, as opposed to "the help".

I love color - when I moved into my house everything was WHITE and I set out to change it immediately - hate white walls - I have a coral color house in Florida - apparently my neighbors hate it - I think it is quite appropriate for Florida - I have 2 wine red walls on the ends of a taupy kind of side walls - I have a deep purple accent wall in my master bedroom - I have a sky blue guest room - only white left in this joint are the baseboards and doors - SO it takes a lot for me to think color SUCKS - actually I can only remember one other house that the colors made me cringe but I have to tell you that pink room SUCKS - holy cow...

edit for spelling

because I got burned out on painting - lol - but when I do get around to painting though they will remain white - I could do the ones in the big living area in the taupy color which is very light and very neutral - but I probably won't

oh crap now I'm having a small guilt trip I really have to get those baseboards done - lol

I should do that instead of DU GD primaries - because that place is probably going to drive me to insanity - not a long drive actually....

Notice in the portrait they are mimicking in photo 7, most of the animals in the picture are cats but it is only the dogs who showed up for the "family portrait." Not a cat to be seen.

And how phony is it to have an AD photographer over and be decked out in your pressed jammies and bare boney feet?

And why in the portrait does James have a black and white striped scarf? Was the portrait painter having a little fun at James' expense?

68. Look at that pink
Pop psychology, but I think that is a way to be feminine without it meaning anything real or substantive.

75. Ah yes the good life from all those profits pandering to the
Bush WH. If I were a magician I would take that house, while they were in it and drop it in the middle of Bagdad.

Also, considering the genome, their kids are actually rather nice looking.

77. I think those townhouses are called "Ford's Landing" with ...
4500 sq. ft of space (approx.), with an elevator, and they cost around $2million+ (probably more now). Don't hold me to the specs; I would have to look them up; I do know that they are very expensive (and beautiful, in the Federal style), on S. Union St in Alexandria that parallels the Potomac River.

78. OMG
what an atrocity.

They sure got ripped off on that portrait--I bet the godawfukl thing cost plenty. Very bad art to begin with but then with the James Buddha head floating godlike above his enthroned sacred "Madonna & Child" family :puke: what a piece of yardsale quality crap--you'd at least like to see them supporting good artists.

As for the pink bordello...well that must be fun. It looks like "drunk tank pink"--the color they use at police stations to subdue the unruly inmates...maybe it makes for more harmony between the inmates of that place.

Yeah...Barbie's Dream House on steroids.

79. Ummm...a lot more red
than I would like. I'm a clutterbug myself, but I think if I lived on that great a scale, I would keep my clutter confined to a few rooms never seen by the public. And definitely not that large! From the outside, that place looks like three apartments.
