question about the "war" (occupation)

question about the "war" (occupation)
now that its cool to be against the war in iraq
even if your a republican

( moderate average joe republican types.
freeps excluded of coarse)

do people know what exactly there against?
it seems to me people are simply against the war
because they know bush "fucked up" or "hes an idiot" etc etc...
but most people i talk to when pressed on things like the downing street memos
or Halliburton or the last 7 years in general, draw a blank.

anybody else experience things like this?

into the occupation after the natural consequence of the discovery of no WMD. Magically we were fighting the 9/11 guys in Iraq & that was easy to understand. It's been that way ever since. Every combat news story ins prefaced with the words "al qaeda in Iraq".
