With less than 1 year left, what are the 3 moments...
That allowed us to best see the true colors of the Bush Administration?

Here are my picks.

Deception - When the Bush Administration pushed and scared the nation into going to war with Iraq.

Corruption - Although she failed on numerous occasions and was totally unqualified, Rice somehow became Secretary of State. I remember from the hearings, the Republicans weren't discussing what she did as National Security Adviser (Probably because it was nothing to be proud of), but that her name meant "to play sweetly", and that's why she needed to be confirmed according to them.

Incompetence - Whenever the Bush Administration responded to disasters (Or didn't), we saw it on 9/11 and we saw it when Hurricane Katrina hit.

2. Katrina, Walter Reed and the fact that it took them five years to come up with
the surge.

Five years to come up with "let's add more troops"

6. Torture Was the Worst
You don't accidentally torture, or create torture through incompetence. There are no excuses. It is the ultimate purposeful, intentional crime. And it will be the one thing the world will never forgive or forget. The world won't remember or care about 9/11. They may never really know where New Orleans is or what it once was. But torture is our equivalent of the Nazi Holocaust.

7. Bush removing the US from the international criminal court. that was a really
big and sometimes forgotten one, imo it was an omen or really the canary in the coal mine. There are so many other moments but that one was pivotal.

8. My 3, though it was hard to whittle it down to just that...
1. Lies in the lead up to war.

2. Undermining the Judiciary.

3. Politicizing all Federal departments.

oh, and bonus points - Incompetence > fiscal, diplomatic and operational.

11. hmmm...
"This would be easier if it was a dictatorship, that is if I was the dictator." (Dec. 2000)

"The Pet Goat" (Or: "Lucky me, Guess I Hit the Trifecta.")

State of the Union, 2003: "The British Government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa." (...) "Throughout the 20th century, small groups of men seized control of great nations, built armies and arsenals, and set out to dominate the weak and intimidate the world. In each case, their ambitions of cruelty and murder had no limit."
