Lieberman may attend GOP convention
Aides to senator say it is 'quite possible' the independent Democrat would go to support McCain

Will Joseph Lieberman appear at this year's Republican National Convention?

After the week that was, fellow Democrats in Lieberman's home state said they wouldn't put it past the U.S. senator to put in an appearance at the GOP summit in St. Paul, Minn., this summer to reaffirm his support for the presumptive presidential nominee, John McCain.

Aides to Lieberman, who was in Germany and unavailable for comment, said it is "quite possible" that the self-described independent Democrat will be headed to the Twin Cities for the GOP convention.

3. I predicted this four years ago.
I've another prediction for the GOP convention four years from now, but I'll probably get in trouble if I mention who it is.

9. I hope that happens....
Talk about adding insult to injury for all the right wing nuts who think McCain is too liberal. :bounce:

I might have to start listening to Rush, Hannity and the other idiots if this happens.

8. He should know better than to feed the animals.
Those animals eat their own. He shouldn't be so eager to be one of them.

Is anyone surprised??

This is HolyJoementum's last hurrah.. In November it may be apparent to him that he will be the ultimate odd man out..and I do mean Odd & Out..

If we pick up seats in the senate, as we are projected to, he will just be the crazy old dude who helped lose the '00 election , which led to the 8 year debacle.. gone will be any primo appointments to committees, gone will be c-span courting him on his "swing vote" status..gone will be the invitations to the White House..

he will be just 1 of 100..and I could see his seniority being stripped.. He IS, after all an INDEPENDENT...and one with very little tenure..

he's gotten his ass massaged for a while, but he'll no longer be needed, and can safelty be discarded to the ash heap of insignificancy..

disclaimer:

If the super delegates manage to screw up the nomination process and 50% of the democrats get pissed off, disgusted, disillusioned...and stay home?.. President mcCain may ask Joe to be secretary of defense..

18. He is not an "independent Democrat"
He ran as the candidate of the "Connecticut for Lieberman Party"... which has now kicked him to the curb! I suggest we do the same the minute our Senate majority is solidified, if he doesn't go running over there by himself, that is.
