I can't believe Jimmy Carter is 82 years old

He looks fantastic and is sharp as a tack. He honestly looks like he could be President again. I am just amazed. I know it can't happen but man, he really looks terrific.

Anyone can look "fantastic" and be "sharp as a tack".

I know you didn't mean it this way, but I get kind of annoyed when I see people say that they are "amazed" that someone who is on in years looks "fantastic" or is as "sharp as a tack".

Saying that you are "amazed" sort of implies that old folks rarely look "fantastic" or are seldom "sharp as a tack".

8. I know quite a few people in that age range

and Carter is close to the top of the list if not the top of the list when it comes to both physical and mental accuity.

Just bought and am reading his book "Our Endangered Values." He nails the issues and I wish it was required reading for every American citizen.

10. My right wing wack brother in law and sister

Visited my 80 year old Mom for Valentines Day and somehow dear Jimmy came up and begun to get trashed by her son in law. Mom glared at him and said "Well he certainly never got us into a mess of tarnation like we're in now, did he?" Brother in law retreated. Way to go Mom
