H. Clinton/G.W. Bush
how is ms. clinton's vision of 'the war on terror' any different from the white house's?

she rails against mismanagement and incompetence in its execution, but offers no substantive alternative; nor does she question its premises, i.e. hard power solves everything

in fact, no dem candidate has put forth a reasonable solution to deal with terrorism, everyone it seems is still working with the bush-cheney script, and no-one is saying what american foreign policy should do to avoid creating more bin ladens

1. NO MORE DYNASTIES!
Edited on Sun Feb-25-07 05:45 PM by Atman
Sorry for the non-answer, but I just don't care what Hillary has to say. This country simply must break the current cycle of dynastic presidencies. We're supposed to be a representative democracy (or a republic, for you hair-splitters who always enjoy pointing the fact out) not a kingdom.

7. Tired of Bushes and Clintons - GO AWAY! Go hold hands
together rebuilding homes in Sri Lanka for the next twenty years! Geffen was right! Deal with it Dems. I do work and have never worked for any presidential campaigns - had to say that as I now support John Edwards. We will see. I will likely do as I always have and vote whomever the Eem candidate will be - God help us it is not Hillary! Honestly, I did not like Clinton when I first saw him give the speach at the Dem Convention in 1988 and then on the tonight show or letterman. He seemed like a phony and he has lived up to that view. And, I do not forgive him for ignoring the mass slaughter in Rowanda while he was busy on domestic issues. What a creep! And, wher was It takes a Village Hillary, I do not remember her once insisting that the world village of nations lift a finger to help the children in Central Africa - still nothing from her. She would bomb them first if it helped politcally. I am so god damn sick of these immoral politicians!

And, no need to recount the sins of the Bush family!

8. she's a sentimental candidate
Edited on Sun Feb-25-07 06:06 PM by mix
for too many progressives who cannot see that she represents more of the same: reckless war

as far as her vision of the future, all i can gather is that she'll fight for universal health coverage, as will several other dems, so there's little unique about her in that regard

i do not mind her as a senator though and i am glad she's a dem, but she is simply dead wrong about 'the war on terror'

4. that's another thing
endangering our democracy

'the war on terror' is the defining issue of our time and perhaps for generations to come

h. clinton seems to be more a part of the problem than the solution

what's 'reckless' is not her husband, but her politics of supporting the israeli far-right and saber-rattling
