Sexism and politics...
Something struck me this week about how sexism and politics is much different than racism and politics.

When Jane Fonda caught hell for her verbal slip of using the "C" word when referring to a woman's sex organ, the reaction from the right really showed their lack of integrity.

Here, Jane Fonda used the word with no venom, but to make a point how when she heard of that play and it's title, she was put off, but earlier this year when a John McCain supporter asked McCain "how do we beat the bitch," and he told her it was an excellent question, the media attention was zilch.

1. The media is part of the problem...the good ol boy network is alive and well...
..there, obviously. The sexist slurs coming from them during this campaign have been absolutely disgusting.

2. Yes, sexism is alive and well. I really would like to see Hillary
win the election and I have to admit it's mostly because she's a woman. I wanted Edwards, but.... The old boys in Wash DC would not work well with her because she is a woman, and they do not want a woman to look like she can do the job in the White House - might lead to others getting the job, and they don't want that.

3. Having her on the ticket with Edwards in the #2 slot
would be an unbeatable combination, one that would overcome sexism as Edwards was consistently shown to be the most electable time and time again.

Unfortunately, she seems destined to pick some conservative stiff like Evan Bayh. If that happens, forget it. We'll get McInsane.
