Since 8:00pm last night, every last of the GOP apologists have shown their fangs against that big bad old New York Times for this John McCain story that, if it were in a movie, would be laughed at for being so elementary. ("C'mon, the politician is actually IN BED with a lobbyist? Show some imagination!") Boo-hoo, that mean old paper hates our St. John so much, etc. And yet, where did we see this?
With a record of working across the aisle to develop sound bipartisan legislation, he would offer a choice to a broader range of Americans than the rest of the Republican field.
and this gem?
A genuine war hero among Republicans who proclaim their zeal to be commander in chief, Mr. McCain argues passionately that a country’s treatment of prisoners in the worst of times says a great deal about its character.
That's right, in the New York Times' ENDORSEMENT of John McCain!!! Are the Republicans only going to be happy when they can pass a law in the House and Senate to officially have it both ways?
