Bush has 11 months left to accomplish his final agenda: Immunity for his crimes/Control of Iraqi oil
Bush says he sees no compromise with Democrats on renewing expired surveillance bill, February 21, 2008

ABOARD AIR FORCE ONE: President Bush on Thursday stood by his demand for legal protection for phone companies that help the government eavesdrop on suspected terrorists, saying he sees no prospect of a compromise with congressional Democrats.

Speaking with reporters aboard Air Force One, Bush renewed his call for Congress to adopt a Senate bill that would make it easier for the government to spy on foreign phone calls and e-mails that pass through the United States.

The Senate bill also adds a provision to shield cooperating telecommunications companies from liability lawsuits. Democratic leaders in the House refused to vote on the Senate bill.

The House passed its own version of the surveillance law in October and it does not include telecom immunity. Democrats want to negotiate a compromise with the Senate when lawmakers return from a 10-day recess.

Bush pressuring Iraqi Oil Minister to circumvent Parliament in approving an oil law, February 19, 2008

.....

But the Bush administration's priorities lie elsewhere. It is highly unlikely to pay heed to Iraqi public sentiments. There is precious little time left for the Bush administration in the White House. But it's not just pork-barrel politics, either. There is also the aspect of the legacy of the Bush administration. With the Iraqi "surge" having proved a success, Bush is undoubtedly gearing up for the epitaph to his Iraq odyssey.
Big Oil deals in Iraq form the core of Bush's strategy of creating a legacy for the US in the Middle East that may run for decades. Big Oil needs the assurance of a near-permanent US military presence in Iraq. And Bush is determined to provide that assurance. He is convinced that no serious American politician would defy the wishes of Big Oil. By logic, therefore, Bush is creating a historical legacy of an Iraq that will remain under American control for decades to come.

.....

Who will blink first?

1. Reid? or Pelosi?
All four eyes are wide shut. Fat chance we have of ever seeing any justice.

6. ...and to regain control of Venezuela's oil, Bolivia's oil/gas, Ecuador's oil, and
the new oil find in Argentina--and get these resources out of the hands of democratic governments that use them for the benefit of the people.

"The Smart Way to Beat Tyrants Like Chávez," by Donald Rumsfeld, 12/1/07
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/11/30/AR2007113001800.html

Rumsfeld urges both economic warfare, and the U.S. acting "swiftly" in support of "friends and allies" in South America. Since the Bush Junta has no friends and allies in South America--except for the fascists in Colombia, and the "free traders" in Peru--I presume he means the fascist thugs, that the Bush Junta been funding and organizing all along in the leftist countries with the oil, who are planning coups.

I expect the Bush Junta to move first against Bolivia. But their main target is Venezuela, because of its leadership of the region on social justice and regional independence. In Bolivia, the fascist rural landowners are trying to split their oil/gas rich provinces off from the central government of Evo Morales, the first indigenous president of Bolivia and a strong Chavez ally. They may try to draw Chavez into the fray, in defense of Bolivia's sovereignty. And they may employ U.S. military intervention--a la South Vietnam--where the U.S. sets up a puppet government that "requests" U.S. help for its "independence." The Bushite goal: to create a fascist enclave and launching pad, in the oil-gas rich portion of Bolivia, in the midst of all of these leftist (majorityist) governments, and--a Rumsfeld specialty--creating sufficient chaos and suffering, and tumult at the UN, the OAS and elsewhere--to grab some of the Andes oil fields for his global corporate predator pals.

Exxon-Mobil's recent move against Venezuela--trying to freeze $12 billion of Venezuela's assets, in a dispute over Venezuela's 60% share of its own oil (--a deal that Norway' Statoil, British BP, Conoco, Chevron and others think is reasonable)--may be part of Rumsfeld's plan, aimed at weakening and destabilizing Venezuela.

11. Hmm. He'd have to travel somewhere, or they'd have to invade
I can't see any U.S. government handing him over.
