This is the second or third thread I've seen on DU today about Limbaugh. I swear that half of his audience are liberals.

The radio was tuned to the station (it is also a news station) when I got in. I really think it pays to keep up on their claims anyway but I am not one who usually does because it makes me seethe.

Hitler's socio-political hierarchy was based on race/ethnicity. That made him a racist, which is also by definition right wing.

Now, if he wanted to claim that Stalin was a leftist who didn't care how many people he killed in order to build a socialist state just like the left wants to do he would be on firmer ground, but even then he would be overgeneralizing. The analogy of firmer ground in this instance can be best justified by the fact that quicksand is firmer than a lot of hot air.

If you read the review of the book - its obvious that the author has little understanding of what Fascism really means.

I think *they* are attempting to re-define the word. *They* know its a bad word, its bad to be called fascist, so they have to change the definition of the word itself so that it fits Hillary.

The new definition (according to author Jonah Goldberg) is that fascism is the use of government to cure society's ills.

The Nazi Party that emerged was anything but for workers and socialism. The need for war was to give the manufacturers the needed business to make weapons and war gear as pay back, just like our home grown Nazis are doing now. The only reason the Bushistas don't claim to be socialists is because their party made a dirty word of communism back in the McCarthy era and so they can't use it.

With a socialized government. Even though our beliefs in the government paradigm have shifted through the years, he was still right wing in his day. A Leftist "Dictator" could be FDR. He socialized with a velvet glove and held power for years on end, however under the title of president.
