4. No question, he's a smart , experienced guy.
I'm liking what I'm hearing from him this morning. He handles questions well and can think on his feet. Not the closest to me on some issues but he's good on the environment and knows foreign policy cold.

7. If the "Big Tease" doesn't get in it I think I could support this guy.
I'm kind of torn between him and Obama. I love the Obama excitement but I'm concerned about whether a guy with so little administrative experience could actually do the job.

Richardson could do the job but can he generate the excitment he would need to win?

Ah well, there's plenty of time. Might as well sit back and enjoy the show.

8. Hmmm..........a Richardson/Obama ticket wouldn't be bad.
Richardson: Former UN ambassador, Cabinet Member (Energy?), Governor, etc. Plenty of experience in the right areas for the future. Has good logical sense and is damn level headed, plus he hails from the West and is of Hispanic background.

Obama: Damn bright, well spoken (as in he expresses himself very well), and appeals to "youth" and those seeking something "different". But, as you point out, is a bit lacking in the eyes of many, the "experience" for the job.

Such a ticket would, I feel, be a plus for the party.

Food for thought, eh?

9. I could go for it. My dream ticket has been Gore/Obama but Richardson shares many of Gore's plusses
Aside from Gore, Richardson has the best range of experience in the party. I am not with him on every issue but I agree on enough to give the rest a pass. Where he seems lacking is in the charisma department. He's plain-spoken--a good thing--but doesn't seem to have the poetry in his soul or the passion in his gut to make people swoon.

Obama is genuinely exciting. If Obama had been GOVERNOR Obama and had a record of achievement to pull out of his hat I'd be out there waving an Obama sign right now.

Put 'em together and you've got yourself an experienced, exciting ticket and incidently, an historical one.

Of course if the Big Tease gets in it's a whole new ballgame.
