2. Isn't Richard Gere set to play Joe Wilson?

I had heard that privately but I also thought I saw it in print somewhere. What information I had was that he was the original choice but since that time I've not heard anything more. I think Kevin Costner would be a better choice myself. He looks just like Wilson...
