to "Freeheld," a documentary about a cop battling the county to have the right to pass on her pension to her long-time gay partner.

The soldiers made the award live via satellite, in case you missed it.

"Freeheld" is 38 minutes long. It competed as a documentary short.

That is done by the President and Joint Chiefs.
