We are there NOW, and it doesn't matter how we got there

This is the mantra that republicans must get people to believe, in order for mccain to be elected.

This is the same old tired mantra they always use for everything.

They want us to forget about the dodgy elections of '00,'02,'04,'06
They want us to forget about the obscenity of NOLA, post Katrina
They want us to forget about the energy meeting of '01 & the rape of California
they want us to forget how a spy gets outed & no one pays a price for it

The irony of their philosophy MUST be emphasized.

They want us to NEVER forget 9-11

or

how wonderful St Ronnie of Reagan was
how honorable the bush family is/was/always will be

Whomever emerges as the democratic candidate, MUST remind the public that "what happened before" DOES matter..

When you build a house, you do not build the roof first.. If the foundation and walls are shit, the roof will collapse..

We are always building upon the past, and the past MATTERS.

2. remembering the past is the only defense
When the past is forgotten it can be easily rewritten. The history of our country is so full of revision that we continue to make the same mistakes over again.

we will not forget but the vast majority of Americans just don't care about anything that does not directly effect them.

When will we learn? NEVER. We will never learn until we gain the ability to look at ourselves for what we are.

Ronald Reagan sold weapons to both sides in a war. How does one ever justify that?

3. Forgetting about 9/11 is impossible when the truth about it all...
is still hidden and tucked away. I wish more Americans knew more about 9/11 because then they wouldn't forget about it and it would destroy the corrupt ones that were involved.

4. McCain is already using it.
the dem candidate should ask why he and his other republican spin meisters are trying to deny the horror of Bush's foreign policy over 8 years... and talk about the lies... so, lies don't matter?

or lies only matter if someone got a blow job, but if someone killed hundreds of thousands... no biggie. but if someone destroys a blastocyte? that's worth everything. those kids who were blow to bits? worth nothing. Why that happened to them doesn't matter.
